The TPS65910AA1RSL is a highly integrated power management IC (PMIC) launched by Texas Instruments. It adopts a 48-pin VQFN (6x6mm) surface mount packaging. This device is specifically designed for applications based on OMAP™ processors and can meet the power supply requirements of multiple power rails. It is powered by a single lithium-ion/lithium-polymer battery, three nickel-metal-hydride batteries, or a 5V input.
This PMIC integrates 4 DC-DC converters (3 buck converters and 1 boost converter), 8 LDO regulators and a real-time clock (RTC) internally. Two of the buck converters are used for powering the processor core, and they support the SmartReflex dynamic voltage management technology to achieve the best energy-saving effect. The device is equipped with an embedded power controller (EPC), which can manage the power-on timing requirements of the OMAP system and be flexibly controlled via the I2C interface.
