The PCF8566T/1 is a general-purpose low-multiplex LCD driver introduced by NXP, housed in a 40-pin VSO surface-mount package. It communicates with microcontrollers via an I²C bus and provides drive signals for various liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
This device is suitable for static or multiplexed LCDs with up to four backplane electrodes, capable of driving 24 segments and supporting a total of up to 96 display elements. It can be cascaded to support up to six 14-segment characters or twelve 7-segment digits.
