The MAX® II series of instant-on, non-volatile CPLDs (Complex Programmable Logic Devices) come in a 144-pin TQFP package with a 20mm × 20mm size. These devices are based on the MAX II architecture from Altera (now part of Intel) and utilize Flash process technology, featuring instant-on power-up operation. They offer 440 macrocells and 570 logic cells, provide 116 user I/O pins, support 2.5V and 3.3V core voltages, have a propagation delay of only 5.4ns, and a maximum operating frequency of 304MHz. They incorporate an 8,192-bit Flash memory and have a typical power consumption of 55mA. The series supports in-system programmability (ISP) and can be configured via the JTAG interface without the need for an external programmer. The operating temperature range is from 0°C to 85°C, and they comply with RoHS standards, being lead-free and environmentally friendly.
