FT4232HL-REEL is the fifth-generation four-channel USB 2.0 high-speed to multi-functional UART/MPSSE interface chip launched by FTDI. It adopts a 64-pin LQFP surface mount packaging and can provide up to 4 configurable serial communication channels.
This chip is fully compatible with the USB 2.0 high-speed (480Mbps) and full-speed (12Mbps) specifications. Its most distinctive feature is that it has two channels with built-in MPSSE (Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine), which can be independently configured and used for synchronous serial protocols such as JTAG, SPI, and I²C. It supports a UART data rate of up to 12Mbaud, and the operating power supply voltage ranges from 3V to 3.6V.
