P82B715TD is an I²C bus expander/buffer product launched by NXP, featuring an 8-pin SOIC surface mount packaging. This device is designed to overcome the 400pF capacitance limitation of the I²C bus, enabling the effective capacitance of the bus to be extended to approximately 3000pF and the communication distance to be extended to approximately 50 meters.
This device provides bidirectional, unity-gain buffering for the two signal lines SDA and SCL, achieving a 10-fold impedance transformation. The operating voltage range is 3V to 12V, and the operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. It is compatible with derivative bus systems such as I²C, SMBus, and PMBus.
