TUSB2046BIRHBT is a 4-port USB 2.0 full-speed hub controller launched by Texas Instruments. It adopts a 32-pin VQFN surface mount packaging. This device provides one upstream port and four downstream ports, fully meeting the requirements of the USB specification as a full-speed hub.
Since this device is implemented using a digital state machine instead of a microcontroller, no firmware programming is required and it can be plug-and-play. All upstream and downstream ports are equipped with fully compliant USB transceivers. The downstream ports support full-speed and low-speed devices by automatically setting the conversion rate.
Main performance parameters: Data rate 12Mbps, Operating voltage range 3V to 3.6V, Operating current 40mA. Supports two power supply modes: self-powered mode and bus-powered mode. Power switching and overcurrent detection can be configured as global mode (联动 all ports) or port-independent mode.
This device supports suspend and resume operations. Custom Vendor ID and Product ID can be configured through an external serial EEPROM. The PWRON output adopts a push-pull structure and does not require an external pull-up resistor; the OVRCUR input has a noise filtering function, enhancing the anti-interference ability against voltage spikes. The clock input can select a 6MHz crystal oscillator or an 48MHz external clock. When using a 6MHz crystal oscillator, low EMI emission can be achieved.
This device operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is suitable for industrial applications. No special driver is required and it can seamlessly integrate with any operating system that supports the USB protocol stack.
